Goodwin-Lasiter, Inc. was established in 1983 by Philip Goodwin, P.E., RPLS and Larry Lasiter, P.E. with a desire to provide high-quality architectural, engineering, and surveying services to the East Texas Region from their Lufkin, Texas location. In 2001, we partnered with Scott & Strong, an architectural and interior design firm with roots dating back to 1939. Our second office was formed in Bryan, College Station in 2002. In 2010, we acquired Raymond Surveying & Mapping Company in Groesbeck, Texas to expand our range of services in Central Texas. In 2019, Goodwin-Lasiter-Strong acquired Clark-Aggen Architects in Tyler, Texas.
We have maintained steady growth and operate as a full-service design firm with four offices located in Lufkin, Bryan, Groesbeck and Tyler. Today, resulting in the combination of our talents, Goodwin-Lasiter-Strong (GLS) provides services on a wide range of professional disciplines for both Public and Private endeavors. This includes educational, commercial and retail buildings, athletic facilities, industrial consulting, planning, parks, structural systems, public works (municipal and rural), and surveying. We have served Clients in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kentucky, Ohio, New Mexico, and Virginia.

GLS is looking for a versatile IT intern that can support the IT Department and act as a help desk to others in the firm. Applicant must be able to troubleshoot equipment issues on printers, computers and servers. They must also have experience in software updating, back-up software, and developing white sheets for new and current software. Applicant may be asked to participate in the development of new desktops as well as refurbishing older machines for redeployment. Must have expertise in Microsoft Products.

Landscape Architect Assistant
GLS wants to hire an Landscape Architect assistant designer for assistance with design of Landscape Architecture projects. Projects typically include planning and design of parks, streetscapes, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, ecological restoration, and athletic facility design. Responsibilities will include preparation of:

Goodwin-Lasiter-Strong is searching for an experienced marketing professional that is a self-starter with a willingness to learn. This individual would help with the development of marketing materials in relation to B2B and B2C, online marketing growth, social media management, website and SEO development, photography/videography, as well as any other marketing information/publications needed by the firm. These marketing information must be competitive with large firms in terms of overall appearance, style and content. Applicants must have the ability to manage multiple projects while completing them in a timely manner. As a part of the marketing team at GLS, you will need the ability to coordinate with multiple departments, project managers and other administrative staff in a growing company.
